Like most moms, I am a pulled-in-a-million-directions, trying-to-do-everything-at-once woman. I have a long list of things I am passionate about and I wear a lot of different hats.
My husband, Stephen, and I live in Colorado with our 1-year-old daughter Isabella. Stephen and I both work form home (him, full-time… me, whenever I have the chance) and we’re incredibly lucky to be together as a family almost all the time.
I grew up in a home where made-from-scratch meals were the norm, and my mom loved cooking vegetarian before it was cool- her bookshelf includes several vegetarian cookbooks from the 70s. Stephen and I have always loved to eat healthy, real food, but in 2010 we got serious about eating organic.
I love, love, LOVE to cook. I’ve always made just about every bit of food we eat, so when Isabella began to eat solid food it just seemed natural to me to make it myself. I had a friend who also made her own baby food, so I headed to grocery store, her suggestions in hand. I found that the only thing more satisfying than making healthy, organic food for Isabella was seeing her eat it and love it! Pretty soon friends and family were asking me for tips. Thus, Itty Bitty Foodie was born.
I post recipes, practical tips, and information on what foods to introduce and when.
